A live map of every AI data center we track: 726 counted data center campuses, 267.3 GW of planned capacity and $2T of stated project cost, each row carrying its operator, status, capacity, the source behind that capacity and the date that source was published.
One page per data center campus, one page per US state market and one page per operator, so you can see who is building, where, how big and how far along. Alongside the directory we track the public companies the spending lands on: hyperscaler capex from SEC filings, and the power equipment, cooling, semiconductor, networking and construction suppliers named on individual projects.
Every capacity figure names who stated it, filed in a record, stated by the developer or the press, or estimated where nobody publishes a number, and the date of that source. Financial figures trace to SEC filings. "Data Center Index" refers to the directory of data centers, not a stock index.
Every tracked campus is free to download as CSV or JSON under CC BY 4.0, with its developer, location, status and stated megawatts, and the directory is callable as a JSON API and an MCP server.
