Project description
Meta is investing between $10 billion and $27 billion to develop "Hyperion," a massive AI infrastructure project in Richland Parish, Louisiana. Spanning 2,250 acres, it is designed as a "Titan Cluster" for training next-gen LLMs like Llama 4. While the master plan targets 5 GW, initial phases are supported by a partnership with Entergy Louisiana for dedicated natural gas plants. Long-term, Meta has secured 6.6 GW of carbon-free energy through nuclear agreements with TerraPower, Oklo, and Vistra Corp. Construction began late 2024, first phase expected live late 2026.
