Piqua City Commission approved a 30-year agreement allowing AES Ohio to build and operate electric facilities serving J5 LLC's ~607-acre data center site (Meta identified as the entity behind J5), with the data center paying full infrastructure upgrade costs and Meta committing $8M for public safety; the city approved the $1B hyperscale project in November 2025.
