NNSA selected Amentum on July 20, 2026 to enter negotiations for a phased lease at the Savannah River Site. The project includes a 1-gigawatt data center and about 2 gigawatts of on-site generation, with natural gas bridging to nuclear. Selection isn't a final lease award and is still subject to negotiation, permitting and federal approvals.
