Project description
On July 20, 2026 NNSA selected Amentum to enter negotiations for a phased lease at the Savannah River Site; the project includes a 1-gigawatt data center and approximately 2 gigawatts of on-site generation (natural gas bridging to nuclear). Selection is not a final lease award and remains subject to negotiation, permitting and federal approvals.
