OpenAI's Project Camellia is a 1,400-acre, $20 billion campus in Effingham County requiring 3.2 GW at full buildout; the Georgia PSC cleared Georgia Power's contract to serve it (power delivered in phases 2028-2032), the Coastal Regional Commission issued the final DRI report on Aug 26, and county preliminary site plan review was set for Sept 14, 2026.
