Project description
Joliet City Council voted 8-1 on March 20, 2026 to approve the $20B, 795-acre Joliet Technology Center by Hillwood and PowerHouse Data Centers: 24 buildings in four six-building sub-campuses needing 1.8 GW at full build. Construction to start late 2026 or early 2027, first sub-campus done by 2028, full completion through 2032.
