Project description
Joliet City Council voted 8-1 on March 20, 2026 to approve the $20B, 795-acre Joliet Technology Center from Hillwood and PowerHouse Data Centers. It's 24 buildings in four six-building sub-campuses that need 1.8 GW at full build. Construction is expected to start in late 2026 or early 2027, with the first sub-campus done by 2028 and full completion through 2032.
