Project description
Brookfield, NextEra Energy, Big Rivers Electric, Jackson Purchase Energy and Paducah Power System announced a $100 billion privately funded data center campus at the DOE Paducah Site, supporting up to 1.8 GW of utility capacity and over 1.2 GW of compute capacity, backed by up to 2 GW of natural gas and 2.6 GW of battery storage; fully constructed in 2032; ~8,000 construction and 600 operations jobs. DOE selected Brookfield after a November 2025 Request for Offers.
