Project description
Brookfield, NextEra Energy, Big Rivers Electric, Jackson Purchase Energy and Paducah Power System announced a $100 billion privately funded data center campus at the DOE Paducah Site. It's set to support up to 1.8 GW of utility capacity and over 1.2 GW of compute capacity, backed by up to 2 GW of natural gas and 2.6 GW of battery storage. It should be fully constructed in 2032, with about 8,000 construction jobs and 600 operations jobs. DOE selected Brookfield after a November 2025 Request for Offers.
