The Social Circle City Council approved a special-use permit on November 18, 2025 for a data center on 96 acres along East Hightower Trail, filed by Dermody PLC Acquisition. Plans show four buildings totalling 420,000 sq ft plus a 100,000 sq ft electrical substation, with a first building in two to three years and full build-out within five.
