Project description
Lyon County commissioners approved a zoning change on Aug 7, 2026 for Copia Power's Monarch campus in Mason Valley near Yerington. It's planned at 1,000 MW and 4.6M sq ft on about 505 acres, with a 500 MW gas backup plant and battery storage. Final design approval and state permits are still needed.
