Project description
Maryland-based Stonebridge is proposing a 4.4 million sq ft data center on roughly 1,300 acres that would need 1.2 gigawatts of electricity, at an estimated $2.6 billion. Fort Meade commissioners voted 5-0 in mid-April 2026 to approve the development agreement, but the project still needs multiple state and federal permits.
