Project description
NextNRG, based in Miami Beach, announced a long-term lease option in September 2025 on 1,600 acres in unincorporated Nassau County near Jacksonville International Airport. Roughly 1,200 acres would go to a 200 MW smart microgrid and 400 acres to hyperscale data center development, with potential access to 6,000 more acres. No applications had been filed with the county, which was advancing a one-year moratorium.
