The Town of Vienna rejected a support agreement in November 2025 and the state Department of Administration opposed the annexation. On January 30, 2026, QTS told the village it was suspending the project and asked to withdraw its applications, and the village board then rejected the annexation (Wisconsin Watch, August 4, 2026).
