Kimley-Horn and Ryan Companies U.S. Inc. applied for a proposed 600,000 sq ft hyperscale data center with a 3.8-acre substation in west Lakeland. The site is approximately 60 acres off Old Tampa Highway and Wilkinson Road. City staff were actively reviewing the application and raised concerns on zoning, power and water.
