Project description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding its "Project Rainier" AI supercomputing campus in New Carlisle, Indiana, built to serve partner Anthropic's AI training workloads. The 1,200-acre site will ultimately draw 2.2 GW of power. Phase one was completed in 2024 and spans seven buildings that together draw about 525 megawatts to train Claude AI models. At full buildout Project Rainier will have up to 30 buildings.
