Project description
Microsoft announced a $1B minimum, 10-year program for four Catawba County data centers in November 2022, and construction is ongoing. Conover residents report nearly a year of construction dust and noise. No MW has been disclosed. Per the county's joint statement, the sites are Tate Blvd in Hickory, behind the Walmart in Conover, Stover Court in Newton and about 300 acres on Zeb Haynes Road west of Maiden.
