Project description
Google's proposed hyperscale data center in Hermantown is still in environmental review. The Minnesota DNR flagged information gaps, an incomplete alternatives analysis and wetland and trout-stream impacts in the AUAR, and the City Council is expected to consider the updated AUAR in fall 2026. Residents sued the city after it approved zoning for roughly 200 acres in October 2025.
