Project description
Google's proposed hyperscale data center in Hermantown remains in environmental review: the Minnesota DNR flagged information gaps, an incomplete alternatives analysis and wetland/trout-stream impacts in the AUAR, and the City Council is expected to consider the updated AUAR in fall 2026. Residents sued the city after its October 2025 zoning approval of roughly 200 acres.
