Amazon bought GWU's 111-acre Ashburn campus for about $427.3M in March 2026 and filed a site plan on July 28, 2026 for four two-story data center buildings totaling more than 800,000 sq ft, seeking by-right approval; GW may stay up to five years and Amazon says construction won't start until GW vacates.
