Project description
Microsoft broke ground in Bergheim in March 2026 on the first of three Rhenish mining area data centers (Bergheim, Bedburg, Elsdorf), part of a 3.2 billion euro investment; dpa reports building permits are issued for Bergheim and partial operation could start in 2028.
