Project description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is rapidly expanding its "Project Rainier" AI supercomputing campus in New Carlisle, Indiana, representing a total investment of $15 billion. The massive 2.4 GW campus is specifically optimized to serve partner Anthropic's AI training workloads. Phase one, completed in 2024, spans seven buildings collectively drawing about 525 megawatts to train Claude AI models. At full buildout, Project Rainier will comprise up to 30 buildings.
