Project description

OpenAI and UAE-based G42 have unveiled plans for a 5 GW AI megacluster in Abu Dhabi that would dwarf existing hyperscale campuses. The partners expect to sequence construction, bringing roughly 200 MW online within the first year while continuing to add capacity toward the 5 GW goal. The project will require new generation or significant grid upgrades and is positioned as a cornerstone of OpenAI's frontier model training roadmap.
